About Popzine

Popzine is an independent digital music magazine covering music news, concerts, interviews, reviews and music photography – with editorial content published in the local language and English.

Popzine launched in Sweden in spring 2026 and quickly grew across the Nordics. Within months the site reached a large audience while a broad editorial team of writers, reviewers, interviewers and photographers was built up.

Today Popzine covers local and international music every day – from the world’s biggest artists and festival stages to new names and smaller club shows.

What we do

Music reviews

We deliver well-written, honest, and thorough reviews of albums, concerts, and festivals — always with a focus on quality, feeling, and context.

Interviews

We meet both established artists and new talent in exclusive conversations that go beyond stock questions and offer a more personal, authentic picture.

Features & behind the scenes

We tell the stories you do not always get to hear — from life on the road to creative processes and the inner workings of the industry.

Music without genre borders

Popzine is a broad music magazine. We cover pop, rock, metal, indie, electronic, hip-hop, R&B, country and much in between.

For us it is not the genre or the size of the artist that decides whether something is worth covering. We want to write about an international superstar one moment and introduce readers to a new local artist the next.

On Popzine you will find music news, artist interviews, album reviews, concert reviews, features and extensive coverage of concerts and festivals.

Live music at the centre

Live music is a central part of Popzine. Writers and photographers work on site across our markets – from clubs and new artists to festivals, arenas and major tours.

The ambition is not only the biggest concerts. We want to document the live scene widely and make room for shows and artists that otherwise receive limited editorial attention.

Text and photography are two parts of the same story.

Local languages and English

Music knows no national borders. That is why Popzine publishes editorial content in local languages and English, so coverage of local artists and live scenes can also reach an international audience.

An editorial team built around music

Behind Popzine is an editorial team of around twenty writers, reviewers, interviewers and photographers with different musical backgrounds. Geographic reach means we can cover music where it happens.

From the Nordics into Europe

Popzine started in Sweden with an international ambition from day one. After launches in Finland and Denmark, work continues on expansion into more European markets. English-language publishing is a key part of that strategy.

A fast-growing music medium

When Popzine opened in spring 2026, the ambition was a modern and editorially strong music medium. The response came quickly, and the site soon passed the million page-view mark as the audience grew across markets.

Growth is something we are proud of – but the numbers are not the goal. What matters is what they make possible: more concerts, more artists, more interviews and stronger music photography.

Built for how music is discovered today

Popzine combines fast digital music coverage with classic journalistic formats such as interviews, reviews, features and professional concert photography.

But great music still deserves to be noticed.

Thank you for reading Popzine.
